Simon Says Stamptember - Honey Bee

How I just love this set by Honey Bee.  I wanted to try it out and ended up making a card for a friend I haven't seen in a bit who is a cat lover as well.
I colored in the images with my Prismacolor pencils.  I didn't smooth out my coloring the way I should have but it can always be fixed later.

Supplies
Honey Bee - Oh My Whiskers
Papertrey Ink - Delightful Dahlia additions (saying)

Simon Says Stamptember - Lawn Fawn

Such a gloomy Sunday but a great day to get some card making done.
I knew I had some Lawn Fawn and found an older holiday set - Deck the Halls in with my Christmas items.  I decided to use my GinaK Wreath Builder to really shake this up.  I also had some doily's in the closet which I thought would add something different to the card base.  I colored it some ink blending.

Supplies

Lawn Fawn - Deck the Halls
GinaK Wreath Builder & Holiday wreath builder stamp set for the circle in the center
Ink
GinaK - Amalgam Obsidian, Sea Glass & Tranquil Teal
Papertrey Ink - Cocoa Bean, Fine Linen, Spring Moss & Olive Twist

Simon Says Stamptember - Neat & Tangled

I made this card for a nephew and never put it on my blog thus the new entry.

This is their Art Deco stamp.  It was a little bit of work but the end result made it worth it.

Simon Says Stamptember - Altnew

One of my newer purchases, and one of the most anticipated/exciting, is from Altnew entitled Angelique Motifs.  It is a set that I purchased not only the stamps/dies but also the newer mask stencil.  I won't lie there was a learning curve with the masks and my card is far from perfect.  But I know my recipient will love it regardless as it is handmade.

Here is a list of my supplies:

Altnew - Angelique Motifs - stamps/dies/stencil masks
Sequins
Avery Elle - Big Happy Birthday
Papertrey Ink - Watered Rose stamp (small leaf)
Ink -
Papertrey Ink - Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Terracotta Tile, Lilac Grace, Lavender Moon, Amethyst Allure, Plum Pudding, Aqua Mist & Hawaiian Shores
GinaK - Key Lime, Lucky Clover, Sea Glass & Tranquil Teal

I hope you enjoyed my card and thank you for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamptember - Concord and 9th

I didn't even realize these stamps existed until a stop at a favorite store up in Wisconsin.  They are genius and called Turnabout stamps.  They make card making a breeze.  You pick how many turns you want to do, I did all 4, and then pick the inks for each turn.
This card is a little off as it was my first try but I have figured out that you need to really have your card centered right in those little marks on their jig for this pattern to turn out perfectly, or as close as possible.
Here is my card

Simon Says Stamptember - GinaK Designs

I recently took a road trip up into Wisconsin to visit Gina's store, Village Paper & Ink, and found some wonderful items that had to come home with me.  Of those the Glitz glitter gel intrigued me the most.  Yes, me the one that HATES glitter wanted to really try out this product.  Can I say magic!  No glitter all over my workspace but the glitter shine on the finished product.
Of course I had to try out the black and then using the white I added colored with some of her ink that I had also purchased.  Because of this I had this weird blob of purple glitz in the corner of my paper that I had to cut away.  The idea of cutting along the design came to me today while trying to figure out how to make this look acceptable for a card. I glued my image to a black background, white embossed a sentiment, popped this up with craft foam, matted on another piece of cardstock that matches my image then the whole thing was glued to a white card base.  I added some sequins for some additional shine.
I LOVE how this turned out, what do you think?

Supplies:
GinaK Glitz glitter gel - black
GinaK Art Stencil floral
The Greetery birthday sentiment
PTI - Soft Stone cardstock
Sequins
Black Bazzil cardstock

PTI Win it Wednesday

These challenges help me to keep up on my cardmaking.  Sometimes you just want to read a book or walk the mall with a girlfriend and get a Starbucks.
This weeks challenge was to use a sentiment die as your focal point.  I really wanted to use my Bold Borders Wave die for this card, the idea was already in my head, so I stamped a Backgrounds Basic stamp onto Kraft cardstock using Kraft ink then die cut the paper.  With some subtle patterned paper behind this border die it truly makes the birthday sentiment pop.  Here is my card -

The card is for my brother in law, guy cards are so hard to do.

Here are my supplies:
All are PTI

Bold Borders Wave
Background Basics Birch
Happy birthday die
Cardstock - Kraft and Americana
Pattern paper - Bitty Big Spring Moss
